Srixon are well known for their wide range of golf balls, with models available to suit everyone from tour players including Shane Lowry and Cameron Champ, to high handicap golfers seeking to gain easy launch and distance.
Their latest release, the Q-Star Tour Divide, continues a growing trend that we have seen in the golf ball market over recent years by highlighting an all new alignment design which aims to help you on and around the greens.
The ball features a thermoplastic urethane cover which has been infused with bright colour pigments, rather than being painted on. The high contrast, matte cover produces high levels of spin and stopping power which make it ideal for aggressive short game shots.
The two-tone cover design is said to make putting alignment much easier thanks to a 360° line all around the ball, whilst this effect will also provide you with extra feedback on your stroke after you've hit it. If you want to make sure you're putting 'end over end', this ball doubles as an ideal tool to check.
On pitches and chips around the green, the ball's 'strobe effect' design will also indicate the speed and direction of your shots based upon the backspin that you'll be able to see on the ball after each strike.
"The new Q-Star Tour Divide looks great, but it's so much more than that. Easier putting alignment and increased visual feedback on your chip and pitch shots really adds to the greenside performance. It's a ball every golfer must try."
Joe Miller, European Product Manager, Srixon
Key Technologies in the Q-Star Tour Divide:
- New FastLayer Core - The new core offers added distance and a soft feel without compromise due to a gradual transition from soft inner core to firm outer edge.
50/50 Matte Urethane Cover - The high contrast matte cover makes spin more visible and aids with putting alignment. It is cast from a soft urethane for tour-level spin and stopping power.
338 Speed Dimple Pattern - Providing a penetrating ball flight in any conditions, this dimple pattern increases lift and reduces drag to maximise distance.
The Srixon Q-Star Tour Divide Golf Balls are on sale across the UK & Ireland in the Yellow/Orange colourway from 15th July, with the Yellow/Red and Yellow/Blue colourways available from 15th August. They are priced at £34.99/€40 per dozen.
