When we reviewed Callaway's ERC Soft ball back in 2019, we were impressed by it's soft feel, easy launch, and of course the alignment benefits of the Triple Track technology.
For 2021 the ball is back, and Callaway are saying that the ERC Soft will be their longest golf ball with soft feel, built to give you increased control where you need it most around the green. To do this, there's an all new High Energy Core which helps to promote even more speed and tee-to-green performance.
The ERC Soft features a 'Hybrid Cover' made with a Paraloid Impact Modifier from Dow. This is a high-performance multi-material construction that is designed to promote a higher launch and lower spin to give you long distance, along with plenty of feel and durability too.
The addition of the Paraloid means that once you get around the green, this ball comes to live and gives you high levels of spin so that you can play with positivity in your short game shots.
Completing the design is a High Speed Mantle which works alongside the core and cover to enhance ball speeds and greenside control, by creating a more efficient energy transfer between the ball's layers and providing more wedge spin around the green.
Finally, Callaway's Triple Track lines on the ERC Soft use Vernier Hyper Acuity to help promote better focus and alignment on every putt, giving you more consistent results.
The ERC Soft balls will be available from 18th March in both white and yellow, and are priced at £36.99 per dozen.
