After a 2-year wait since the launch of G425, a hybrid that offered ‘super-charged distance’ and inspiring looks. This year Ping introduce their new G430 Hybrids, hunting extra distance and speed, including their newest technology...
With new gear usually comes new technology and that's no different with Ping's new G430 hybrids.
"The popularity of our hybrids continues to grow. They’ve quietly become one of our most successful categories and have earned a reputation as easy-to-hit, reliable gapping solutions to mid and long irons known mainly for their forgiveness.”
John K. Solheim, PING CEO & President
Ping's new G430 hybrids are aimed at delivering the speed and performance golfers need to take on any approach shot and filling the distance gaps in players’ bags. Alongside Ping’s Facewrap and Spinsistency technologies, meaning the face wraps around the crown and sole more, increasing more flex at impact and creating a higher ball speed.
Whereas Spinsistency creates less loft low on the face to improve performance on thin shots by reducing spin and increasing ball speed for added distance. Ping has introduced their newest technology in the G430 hybrid named green-holding stopping power, which allows the ball to launch higher and stop on the green quicker.
In order to promote flexing and contribute to a higher ball speed, Ping has introduced a new Carbonfly Wrap technology which has saved eight grams of weight compared to a steel crown. The thin, high-strength steel face is wrapped into the sole and crown of the steel body.
G430 hybrids include a tungsten backweight that extends the perimeter weighting to ensure forgiveness. G430 hybrid also consists of six different loft options and an 8-position hosel to further the ball flight, making these ideal for mid- and long-iron replacements.
The Ping G430 Hybrid will be available at retail on 26th January 2023 and will have an RRP of £295.
