Ping are the kings of the game-improvement iron, and they are set to expand their range of forgiving, high launching irons with the new G730, building on their commitment to making the game easier and more enjoyable for golfers.

One of Ping's key aims with the new G730 iron was to maximise ball speed, promoting shots that launch higher and fly further for golfers that struggle to strike the ball consistently.
The iron's hyper 17-4 stainless steel head has undergone an advanced heat treatment, thinning the larger face to increase flexion and lower the centre of gravity for higher ball speeds and more distance with every iron.
The larger face offers a bigger hitting surface to preserve ball speed and give golfers more forgiveness when they mis-hit it, whilst a PurFlex cavity badge has multiple flex zones to control face flexion while improving the sound and feel.
The large head and wide sole profile are said to increase MOI, whilst the low centre of gravity raises forgiveness for improved accuracy and consistency.
In true Ping fashion, there is more offset to the head, which they say is a key factor in helping to get the ball airborne easier and more consistently.
They also feature a hydropearl chrome 2.0 finish, which is said to help with more consistent launch results in different weather conditions so that you know what to expect wherever and whenever you tee it up.
The lofts of each iron have also been custom engineered, to make sure that the configuration allows maximum performance right through the bag. The four wedges feature machines faces and grooves for added control, whilst there is also the option of power (stronger) and retro (weaker) spec lofts to allow fitters to optimise performance further.
The new Ping G730 Irons are available now from 5-9 iron, with additional PW, UW, 50° and 56° wedges. They have an RRP of £180 per club with steel shafts, and £190 per club with graphite shafts.
