Golf balls getting softer is an industry trend, so it is no surprise that the Wilson Staff DX3 Urethane is following that route.

Wilson claims that a compression of 55 makes it the 'World's Softest Urethane Ball' and it joins the DX line that houses two other very low compression balls, with the DX2 Soft having a compression of 29 and the DX3 Spin measuring 35.

Wilson has been working for a long time to create a softer Urethane covered ball as Frank Simonutti, Global Director of Innovation for Wilson Staff Golf Balls, explains:

We've been working on a low compression solution for urethane covers since we introduced the original DX2 a decade ago. Out testing has consistently shown that most golfers prefer a softer-feeling ball and the DX3 Urethane is unrivalled in offering the better player full control of the golf ball.

Soft compression balls spin less meaning more distance on the longer shots and an aerodynamic 362 seamless dimple pattern aids efficient flight. The ball's 3-piece multi layer construction means that better players can get Tour level spin and control on and around the greens.

Like all Wilson products the ball fits into the brand's Feel, Crossover and Distance (F-C-D) ball-fitting system that offers benefits to fit individual playing styles and its soft cover means the DX3 Urethane is the latest option for players whose priority is feel.
