Wilson have launched a brand new line of their Staff Model wedges for 2024, thanks to feedback from their stable of Tour players which includes the likes of Padraig Harrington and Kevin Kisner, with the new Staff Model ZM range.

Wilson Staff Model ZM Wedges

This year's wedges are said to have been completely redesigned, to provide golfers of varying skill levels with versatility when approaching or playing around the green.

The new Staff Model ZM wedges see the introduction of a new ZM high-spin precision-milled groove pattern, combined with Garnet Face Blasting, for a faster, deeper and longer ball interaction.

The result of this is said to be more consistent high spin and check in all weather conditions, and Wilson are claiming to have especially improved the performance of the wedge in wet conditions.

Made from soft forged carbon steel, the Staff Model ZM wedges have been designed with a straighter leading edge and a slightly higher CG to improve ball flight control in the higher lofted wedges.

The CG changes are progressive as the lofts increase, to promote a more controlled ball flight and solid contact. This increases the mass on the section of the head from having a flat surface on the 50˚-52˚, with more mass added on the 54˚-56˚ and even more added in the 58˚ and 60˚.

Wilson Staff Model ZM HT Wedge

Designed with the same characteristics as the ZM, the Staff Model ZM HT uses a high toe and wide sole construction, providing the flexibility that golfers demand with shot saving in mind.

The deeper precision groove pattern runs across the full face to add control, with Garnet Face Blasting and forged carbon steel providing the same consistent spin and check in all weather conditions.

Both the face shape and sole give the golfer freedom to play the club at varying degrees of open or closed, giving golfers control over how much of the face makes contact with the ball.

"The DNA of Wilson Tour players has been engrained within this new range and we're proud to provide options for every type of golfer based on their feedback, along with the game-changing technology that is the cornerstone of the design."

"Our wedge family approach allows golfers to assess their short game skills and match up the correct loft and bounce to seamlessly fit with their current set up and spin it like the pros."

Harry Nodwell, Wilson Golf Product Line Manager.

The Wilson Staff Model ZM wedges will be available from March in six loft options: 50˚, 52˚, 54˚, 56˚, 58˚ and 60˚, with 46˚ and 48˚ models available through custom fitting. The higher lofted 56˚, 58˚ and 60˚ options are available in a choice of low, medium and high bounce, ranging from six to 12 degrees.

They come with a True Temper Dynamic Gold Spinner WG stock shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip, at an RRP of £145 per wedge.
