Srixon has announced the third generation of their UltiSoft golf ball which, with a compression level of 40, is said to be one of the softest balls on the market and specifically aimed at providing higher handicap golfers with a straighter ball flight.
Srixon's lowest compression ball now features a new FastLayer Core, which adds a little more distance to the expected soft feel.
This new design transitions from a soft inner core to a firmer outer edge, meaning that it behaves like a core with thousands of layers for 'maximum softness with powerful distance'.
The 338 Speed Dimples featured on the UltiSoft ball improve the aerodynamics to improve the performance of the ball flight with drivers, woods and irons. Srixon say they have worked to produce the optimum combination of 'dimple uniformity' and 'dimple occupancy' to allow the ball to boost distance and fly straighter even in strong winds.
A soft and thin outer cover provides more greenside spin and a softer feel around the greens on pitches, chips and putts.
The new Srixon UltiSoft balls will be available in White across the UK and Ireland from 19th September, and will be priced at £23 per dozen.
