We've been reviewing PowaKaddy electric trolleys for a long time now.
Our archive dates back to 2006 and in that time the Freeway range has consistently led the market in design, performance and quality.
It is no surprise then that PowaKaddy has announced a milestone for the range of half a million sales since the introduction of the first Freeway model back in 1999.
PowaKaddy Chairman, John deGraft-Johnson, explains the success:
PowaKaddy has always been dedicated to providing golfers with the very best in reliability, innovation and performance, and there’s no doubt the Freeway range has pushed boundaries in all of those categories and shaped trolleys as we know them today.
The original model has since evolved through several generations to the latest PowaKaddy FW7s although one of the biggest changes came after just one year when engineers reduced the width of the trolley from 70cm to under 60cm, setting a trend for sleek design that continues to this day.
This trolley also saw the introduction of a folding technology that has since developed into PowaKaddy's simple 3-fold system, which makes it easy for golfers to assemble and store their trolley in smaller car boots and tight storage spaces.
In 2014 the Freeway family expanded into the FW3, FW5 and FW7 to offer all golfers a trolley and range of functionality to meet their individual demands on the course.
The latest 2016 line of FW3, FW5 and FW7s trolleys continue to push the boundaries of trolley innovation including the option of the thinnest Lithium battery on the market which utilises lithium-ion battery technology for 20% more staying power.
