If you are over the age of 35, you might remember the original Ping L8 bag. If you are under the age of 35, you are about to learn about the latest version of the classic carry bag.
25 years after the release of the original, the first golf bag with retractable legs, Ping have redesigned the L8 carry bag for the modern golfer. The new version is filled with features and functionality to keep you light on your feet.
Offered in five colour combinations the new L8 bag has a sleek new look and shape, designed to be lightweight, durable and comfortable. The entire bag weighs approximately 4lbs, or just 1.8kg, making it one of the lightest bags on the market.
If I told you the L8 bag benefits from Enchanced Ergomonics or E2 would you know what that means?
Probably not. Ping's E2 system is designed to make the bag as comfortable and easy-to-use as possible. The dual-sliding shoulder pads and strap slider allow you to carry you bag much like a backpack whilst making it easier to adjust the fit whilst you're carrying the bag. Additionally, the E2 system keeps the legs of the bag snug against the bag when you are walking.
Ping have improved the bracket that connects the bag to the legs. It is now more durable whilst allowing the legs to span across 24 inches, making it more stable when it rests on the ground.
Built to stand up to the heaviest use, the L8 features a sturdy, 4-way top with two full-length dividers inside the bag to protect your clubs.
Whilst you might look at the bag and think it only has three pockets, Ping have hidden two interior pockets within the large apparel pocket. Along with a key clip, two mesh pockets are disguised from view to store your wallet, mobile phone or other valuables. Two other exterior pockets offer space for balls, tees, gloves, etc.
