Capitalizing on the success and popularity of the X Hot and more recent X2 Hot range of woods, hybrids and irons, Callaway have announced the launch of the all-new X2 Hot golf balls.

Unlike the company's 4 and 5-piece Speed Regime balls, the mid-price point, 3-piece X2 Hot balls are designed to provide distance and optimize spin separation for players with "moderate" swing speeds under 90mph. For those with "athletic" swing speeds of 90mph and above, then the X2 Hot + is for you.

Each of the models features Callaway's "softest multi-layer design", engineered to give a soft feel with lower driver spin promoting straighter, longer shots off the tee.

A soft Trionomer cover is covered in Callaway's HEX technology designed to produce a more stable and penetrating ball flight. Inside the balls, a new, faster inner mantle helps to maximises ball speed.

By reducing driver spin, the Callaway X2 Hot and X2 Hot+ balls not only improve the distance of tee shots, they also reduce the ball's tendency to hook and slice. Who doesn't want a ball that goes longer and straighter?

"Golfers stand to gain significant performance benefits from playing a golf ball engineered to fit their game." said Callaway's Senior Director of Ball R&D, Dave Bartels. "The X2 Hot family is all about maximising distance and forgiveness to help golfers hit lower scores, which is reflected in the X2 Hot and X2 Hot + Golf Balls."

In addition to the traditional white colour, Callaway have made both X2 Hot and X2 Hot+ balls available in a newly formulated Optical Yellow colour, providing better visibility through the air and on the ground.
