The Cobra S3 Max Driver is Cobra's S3 model aimed towards higher handicappers who are looking for more distance or to cure a slice.

For those players, the S3 Max could work very well. The crown design features a subtle alignment aid at the back of the clubhead, and the offset is visibly large which may not work for some but does give the feel that you'd find it hard to lose the ball too far right.

The E9 Face Technology, that creates a larger sweet spot, made for a club that was very easy to hit and produced a high ball flight. The offset of the head heavily encourages the ball to shape right to left, so would not be suited to anyone who already plays with a draw.

However, if you have a slower swing speed and need a driver that can straighten your slice and give you some more distance, it is worth a look.

The Cobra S3 Max is an interesting addition to the game improvement market. Higher handicappers looking to cure the dreaded slice should give a go. It is noticeably offset at address and the big clubhead transmits a nice confident look. The alignment aid will not be to everybody's taste but does allow for an easy set-up. The S3 Max is very easy to hit and Cobra's boast of the bigger sweet spot seems to be well founded as the S3 Max gives good performance right across the face and does get a nice draw going for those who struggle from the tee.
