Martin Hopley

The TaylorMade RBZ RocketBallz Tour fairway has a smaller head than the standard Rocketballz fairway which is a shame as the oversized design is what we think makes it so great. However I am sure this is what their better player research says is required and from that perspective the RBZ Tour is a good club.

The face is a little more open at address and the ball flight is more neutral. Unlike the driver versions, the RBZ Tour fairway is similar to the RBZ in looks and sound. The ball does come off lower and the better quality shaft is nicer to hit.

The TaylorMade RBZ RocketBallz Tour is a good club, but as you can see on Tour, most players are going for the standard RBZ version and we would go along with that as unless you have a phobia about larger headed fairways, then we would keep the extra cash in your pocket.

I purchased the 15 degree Tour model in 2012; installed an AJ Tech Z42 and haven’t looked for another. The trajectory is easy to control; the head is solid, and the sound is intimidating to my opponents. It’s longer off the tee than most drivers. -Wamp 3.6 handicap
