Martin Hopley

The Srixon Z-Star X golf ball is aimed at the ProV1x market and it certainly delivers.

We found the durability of the cover to be much improved on the previous Z-URC, which had a tendency to wear quickly around the seam.

The Z-Star X actually has no visible seam, even though there is one inside and although this improves the aerodynamics, we would like to see a seam.

It is very stable in the wind and the distance is very good compared to the other premium balls and about 10 yards more than the Z-Star for us.

We found it a little firm around the greens, however it has better feel than most distance balls, so if you have an insert putter or prefer distance over feel then this is the ball for you.
