The design of the new Srixon I-701 irons has resulted in an extremely stable clubhead through impact enabling you to get the ball airborne easier and straighter.

The clubhead looks very good at address and you hardly notice the cavity on the back of the club. Like us you probably would not have considered Srixon irons in the past, but we were pleasantly surprised by the I-701, which was an absolute joy to hit.

The trajectory was excellent, the feel was great and the forgiveness was very impressive for a better players iron. There are not many recessed cavity irons out there that are forged and these are right up there with the best irons we have tested, so we would heartily recommend getting your hands on some if you are a low to mid handicapper.

Srixon have also released a Tour version of the I-701 irons with a much smaller sweetspot that pays back in much improved feedback and a more penetrating flight that low handicap golfers prefer.

If you are that type of golfer you will enjoy these irons as they were very easy to shape shots and the feel was also excellent with a very penetrating flight.

Most awesome clubs ever - surprisingly better than my AP2's.

Very, very surprised with the Srixon I-701 irons and in a good way. These look great, sit behind the ball well and are very easy to hit with a fair bit of forgiveness. The ball seems to fly of the club face and you get a good penetrating flight. Very impressed.
