Who? 40 year-old Spaniard Sergio Garcia
What? The 2020 Sanderson Farms Championship, his eleventh PGA Tour victory.
Where? Country Club of Jackson, Jackson, Mississippi.
How? Garcia started the final round in a three-way share of the lead but needed a final round of five under par 67 to pick up his first PGA Tour title since The Masters in 2017. An eagle on the par-five 14th and a sublime shot into the 18th hole set up a two-foot putt for birdie to give him a narrow victory over Peter Malnati, who had earlier set the clubhouse lead.
After the victory, Garcia said:
"The perfect ending for an amazing week. I stood up on 18 and I did what I've been doing all week. I trusted myself."
