Who? 40 year-old, Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell
What? The 2020 Saudi International, his first European Tour victory for 5 years!
Where? Royal Greens Golf and Country Club, Al Murooj Golf Course, Saudi Arabia
How? One stroke ahead of Thomas Pieters at 10-under after 13 holes in the final round on Sunday, G-Mac went on to make a massive birdie putt on the 14th. He then added to that total with a second successive birdie on 15, eventually claiming victory by two strokes beating Phil Mickelson, Gavin Green and Dustin Johnson.
Following the victory, McDowell said:
“The game of golf is in such great shape, so many great players. It’s so exciting to be a top player in the world and I want to be back up there again. I’ve got young kids at home and I want to show them that dad’s tough and dad can do it. I don’t want to have to pull up the YouTube videos.
