Titleist has announced the latest generation of the AVX ball, which has been engineered to deliver better ball speed, longer distance and increase short game spin - pretty much everything you'd want from a golf ball - whilst still retaining an extremely soft feel.

Frederick Waddell, Senior Product Manager of Titleist Golf Balls, commented:
In our ongoing discussions with golfers, we are constantly meeting players who tell us, "AVX is the ball I'd been waiting for'. At the same time, we've been able to lean on those golfers to better understand how they experience AVX and what we can do to help them shoot lower scores.
The improvements to AVX are a direct result of their insights and the inventiveness of our R&D team to take this design to the next level - and we expect golfers to see better numbers across the board.
The new AVX is faster and longer, it performs better around the green, and delivers even more of the incredibly soft feel that golfers love about this product.
New core, cover and aerodynamic technologies have been incorporated into the low compression, multi-layered golf ball which offers the lowest flight, lowest spin and softest feel of Titleist's three premium performance golf ball offerings.
New, Larger Core Formulation generates high speed with low spin on longer shots, to generate more distance with an 'exceptionally' soft feel.

A Redesigned High Flex Casing Layer promotes higher ball speed and lower spin too, enhancing distance on longer shots.
New, Thinner Cast Urethane Elastomer Cover System has been engineered specifically by Titleist to provide a combination of great ball speed with increased greenside spin and control.

Unique Catenary Aerodynamic Dimple Design delivers a piercing, low trajectory while providing a consistent ball flights on all shots.

The Titleist AVX balls are available from 7th February at an SRP of £52 per dozen, in both white and high optic yellow colourways.
