Ecco has been making shoes for more than 50 years, so it's no surprise they know something about comfort.
Their latest golf creation, the Ecco Cage golf shoe, takes this knowledge to ensure greater walking comfort straight from the box.
The design of the Cage has been developed to promote increased stability, flexibility and cushioning and just one look at the distinctive shoe will leave golfers in no doubt as to what inspired the name.
The one-piece DiP stability cage that wraps around the whole shoe from the heel is key to its comfort and performance. The Cage acts to lock in the heel to improve stability and then wraps through the midsole and across the toe box of the shoe.
The Ecco Cage also features an anatomically designed outsole that aligns and moves in unison with the foot's essential ligaments and muscles, working with the feet to improve comfort and reduce fatigue.
This is further enhanced by Ecco's Freedom Fit design that shapes the shoe with a snug setting in the heel through to a roomier forefoot area that allows the toes to move naturally.
The use of a lightweight Caldera performance leather means the shoes will not weigh heavily on the feet during the round. This supple, soft full grain cow hide is stain-resistant and easy to clean, as well as having excellent waterproofing properties thanks to Ecco's Hydromax treatment, ensuring the Cage golf shoe will handle the worst of the weather.
The Ecco Cage is constructed using the Direct-injection process (DiP) that is found across a wide range of Ecco Golf Shoes, such as the Ecco Casual Hybrid.
It works by injecting a shock absorbent material directly into the mould allowing the sole and the upper to be bonded directly together without the need for any glue or stitching, giving a more watertight seal.
A lightweight and low to the ground chassis completes the package whilst traction for all course conditions is ensured by the Champ Slim-Lok cleat system.
