Ecco may be best known as pioneers of the hybrid and spikeless golf shoe world, but the Danish brand have updated their spiked offering for 2022 with the introduction of the new BIOM G5.
Designed to combine the best aspects of their previous BIOM G3 and BIOM H4 shoes, the G5 is said to deliver advanced, athletic performance in a premium and progressive design.
Gore-Tex construction offers 100% waterproofing, whilst new Zarma-Tour spikes work together with Ecco's hybrid grooves to offer plenty of traction and stability.
The updated BIOM Natural Motion last offers added support and control, whilst allowing the foot to move naturally while you are out walking the course.
The BIOM G5 comes with a choice of either a laced or BOA system on the side of the shoe.
A low toe profile is designed to present a sleeker silhouette, and the women's model has this year been updated to offer a more refined, feminine aesthetic.
The BIOM G5 has been yet another fantastic achievement in design and innovation for us at Ecco Golf. Following the huge success of BIOM G3 and BIOM H4, the next iteration of our cleated BIOM series needed to be a true set-up in both comfort and technology, and this is something we truly feel we've achieved with the BIOM G5.

Fluidform Direct Comfort Technology also provides a balance of cushioning and rebound, creating a flexible and durable bond which is said to be a more advantageous alternative to stitched or glued uppers.
As the flagship spiked model for ECCO at the back end of 2022, the new design has a contemporary feel complete with eye-catching midsole and colour blocks on the side of the shoe.
The BIOM G5 comes in five different styles for men: Steel/Black BOA, White/Black BOA, White/Regatta BOA, Black/Steel Laced and White/Blue Laced.
It also comes in five styles for women: White BOA, Misty BOA, Black Laced, White Laced and White BOA Lydia Koa Edition.
Available now, the standard BIOM G5 are available at an RRP of £210, with the BOA version priced at £220.
