Whilst Callaway's headlining new Chrome Soft X golf ball is a firmer version of the popular Chrome Soft, another new ball Callaway ball for 2017, the SuperSoft, is its softest ever ball.

One advantage of soft golf balls is that they spin less than firmer golf balls from the tee, so they should be longer and straighter, making them ideal for golfers who struggle in that department.

The latest version of the Callaway SuperSoft is just a 35 compression making it 20 points softer than some of Callaway's other two-piece balls and its ultra low compression core means reduced spin for a straighter ball flight and long distance from the tee. This is enhanced by a low drag Hex aerodynamic dimple pattern that also contributes to low spin on woods, hybrids and irons.
These features can sometimes be a detriment to greenside control in soft golf balls but Callaway says the SuperSofts Trionomer cover ensures that golfers still get incredible feel on shots around the green.
Callaway Warbird 2017 Golf Ball
Callaway has also introduced the latest Warbird 2-Piece distance golf ball designed for a high and fast flight.

The Warbird also uses the Hex Aerodynamic dimple pattern to reduce drag and promote high launch for increased speed, hang-time and distance.
An extra-large high-energy core, made from Polybutadiene, is easy to compress allowing golfers to unlock more potential distance at any swing speed and the two-piece ball has a thin Ionomer cover to enhance feel and control.
The Warbird is available in a choice of white or yellow and has an RRP of £16.99.
