KBS are one of the biggest golf shaft brands in the game, offering a shaft option for every club in the bag, and they have now added to their Graphite range by adding a new Players Graphite Hybrid (PGH) shaft which aims to provide golfers with easier launch and better spin performance.

KBS PGH Shaft

The new shaft is aimed at golfers of all abilities and uses a Graphite Wrap Technology which is said to provide more consistency and shot control, along with the same tight tolerances and dispersion as KBS's Tour Steel shafts but in a lighter weight.

"The new Graphite Wrap Technology makes it easier for every type of golfer to swing and improve their performance. During our extensive testing of the PGH shaft, we found that adding characteristics like a lower Centre of Gravity created a swing weight that produces a much easier strike in a hybrid club."

"Graphite shafts are becoming increasingly popular and are no long associated with just older players with slower swing speeds. Graphite has been used consistently in drivers by the world's best golfers for over two decades and we see Tour players using graphite shafts in their irons, wedges and putters as well as hybrids to great effect. So, it makes sense for the technology to move through the back and introduce a similar shaft for more players to enjoy."

Kim Braly, KBS Director of R&D and master shaft-maker.

Offered in .370 Parallel Tip options, the new PGH shaft is available in 10 gram weight increments from 45 to 105 grams, with different flex patterns.

This is the brand's seventh graphite shaft and adds to a collection which features three different iron shafts and a Graphite Putter Shaft (GPS) which was launched earlier this year.

The KBS PGH shaft is available this month, at an RRP of £105.00.
