Earlier this month we reported that leading shaft manufacturers KBS had introduced two new lightweight iron shafts, and they are now back again with the CT Tour.
Having built its reputation on precision iron shafts for Tour players, their first-ever putter shaft increases the brand's selection of premium options and has been designed in conjunction with the Tour pros, including World Number One Justin Rose.
Kim Braly, R&D and Tour Operations Director, said:
We're delighted to introduce a tour calibre putter shaft that has been designed directly with input from the world's best players. We're now well on our way to be able to fit an entire bag full of KBS shafts, which is hugely exciting for myself and everyone connected with the brand.
As all golfers know, the putter is the most important club in the bag and having the correct shaft is a vital component to making those important putts.
Featuring Tour precision bend angles – with single and double bend offerings – the KBS CT Tour Putter shaft is stepless with a parallel tip.
It’s available in both steel and matte Black finish in a 120g Tour option and has already been selected by some of the major putter manufacturers as their stock putter shaft for the 2019 season.
During the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Golfalot caught up with Kim himself to find out more about the new shaft, and even have a put with it to see how it felt.
Do you need a bit of extra help on the greens? Justin Rose as of five years ago certainly did, and how look how investing time into his putting has worked out. Perhaps KBS' new option could be for the benefit of your scores too.
Putters and putter fitting is so often overlooked by the majority of golfers, so don't fall into the same trap. Instead, invest your time and money into the club that you use the most every round.
