Carlsbad in California is a Mecca for putter lovers. Putters designed there have 75% of putter market share in the US with Odyssey leading the way both in sales and on Tour.

Callaway Odyssey Highway 101 Putters

To celebrate the unique nature of their hometown, Callaway has chosen the iconic Highway 101, which runs the length of the Golden State, as inspiration for a new range of limited edition Odyssey putters.

The Highway 101 putters, available in three of Odyssey's most popular head shapes, feature images associated with the route such as surfers, coastline and cypress trees on the sole, producing a unique putter for the increasing number of passionate collectors wanting to own a one-off design.

With only 1000 Highway 101 putters available in the US (400 #7, 400 #2 and 200 #5), and 101 clubs of each head shape available in Europe, Callaway has created value for those lucky enough to pick one up and the 3 head choices will appeal to a large range of Odyssey putter fans.

The iconic #7 is a progressive mallet with weighted alignment wings and a single-bend, slant-joint hosel which gives the putter a unique look and first appeared in another Odyssey limited editon set, the the Lucky 777.

The #5 is an incredibly popular model in Japan with a half moon mallet head and a single bend slant-joint hosel and the range is finished with the #2, a slightly larger heel-toe blade with a crank-neck hosel.

It is not just the aesthetics that make the Highway 101 putters stand out however. The putters sit proudly in Odyssey's heritage of continuous innovation featuring the latest Sound Chamber insert technology.

Interestingly this is a reaction by Odyssey to the increasing trend for softer golf balls in the market and the desire to still provide golfers sound and feedback from the putter face.

The Highway 101 putters are milled from 1020 carbon steel and to retain the crisp sound at impact they have milled a uniquely engineered chamber behind the 17-4 stainless steel insert which features Odyssey's recognisable Metal-X pattern. The Chamber allows the sound to resonate behind the insert and have the slightly higher pitch associated with a solid impact.

The three Highway 101 models all feature a genuine Cabretta leather Red Midsize Master Grip with a black baseball stitch and come with Highway 101 themed head covers.
