The Mizuno T-11 wedge is basically the Mizuno T-10 wedge that has been updated with new grooves to conform to the 2010 condition of competition regulations.

These rules don’t apply to non-elite amateurs until 2024, but that does not mean that you should forget about this wedge until then.

As well as making the grooves conforming, Mizuno have added some roughness to the face of the T-11 wedge between the grooves using CNC milled score-lines to add some extra grip on shorter pitches. We were pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Mizuno T-11 wedge. From the fairway and clean lies you still get enough spin and the difference from the rough is not as noticeable as you would expect.

It keeps the lovely balance of the T-10 and the 360 grind not only looks great, but makes the club very versatile around the green, even if the head seems a little compact. There are a wide range of lofts and bounces and the 56 to 64 degree wedges come with slightly wider and shallow grooves than the stronger lofts to help get a little more grip on shorter shots when the ball is not compressed as much.

As well as the black nickel finish the Mizuno T-11 wedge also comes in a two tone white satin chrome finish that looks very classy. If you like your wedges 2010 conforming then this is worth checking out.
