The Callaway XTT LT Saddle golf shoe is a fairly ‘chunky’ design, but this makes it a very stable shoe.
The position of the 5 spikes on the sole of the shoe is designed to help this and we found that it really did the job. The other big feature is the XTT Xtra Traction Technology which acts like a suspension system for the spikes.
This combines with the deep sole to make this one of the most comfortable golf shoes we have tried. The Callaway XTR LT golf shoe comes with a 2 year waterproof guarantee and on a wet course we found they were excellent at keeping the water out and your foot cool and comfortable.
The XTT LT golf shoe also comes with a XWT extra width sole for you to adjust to make the sole wider, but the shoe is a reasonably wide fit in the first place so you would have to have very wide feet to need this.
The traction on the shoe was pretty good with the larger ‘Widow’ style Callaway spikes helping stability, although they clogged up with grass very quickly and it was difficult to keep them clean throughout the round. Replacing these with some Stinger style spikes would probably resolve this.
Overall the Callaway XTT LT Saddle is a very comfortable golf shoe that may not score highly for style, but will certainly do the job effectively and without fuss.
