Puma have announced details of their new Phantomcat Nitro, which they are calling the most advanced shoe that they have ever produced.
The shoe has been designed with nitrogen infused foam in the heel, to provide more rebound and lightweight responsiveness with ever step on the course.
To increase comfort, there's an anatomically shaped last with a sizeable toe box, which has been developed through years of research and provides a better fit for a wider range of golfers.
As well as the comfort and performance of the Nitro foam, and the newly updated shaping, Puma have also introduced a new Flexspike design to provide a new take on traction.
Engineered to increase surface contact with the ground, the uniquely shaped cleats offer improved grip and weight distribution, which is said to make the shoes lighter and more comfortable overall.
The unique shape of the spikes feature multiple traction elements, providing increased grip as the foot moves in different directions whilst both walking and swinging,
Other features of the Phantomcat Nitro include: full grain leather uppers with 1-year waterproof guarantee, TPU outsole base with spined secondary traction elements, and molded heel panel that locks the foot into place for improved control and stability.
"The Phantomcat Nitro is our most advanced shoe to date. Nitro foam and Flexspike technology gives the golfer a combination of traction and comfort like never before. The feedback we've received from our Tour Athletes has been fantastic and I can't wait for golfers to try this shoe."
Andrew Lawson, Senior PLM Footwear, Puma Golf.
The Puma Phantomcat Nitro shoes are available now at an RRP of £130 and are available in three different colourways in men's sizes 7-12.
