Sergio Garcia has a two-shot lead going into the final round of the Deutsche Bank Championship. In the season's second playoff event, the Spaniard has shot 65, 64 and 65 to sit atop the leaderboard at 19-under par.
The longtime TaylorMade pro has a full complement of TaylorMade clubs in his bag, including a new putter. Garcia, known as a player who likes to tinker with his equipment, especially his putter, has the new TaylorMade Ghost Tour Maranello 81 putter in play this week.
Complete with a SuperStroke grip, Garcia's putter has been red-hot in Boston as he leads the tournament with just 1.56 putts per green in regulation.
Often considering a poor putter, Garcia is beginning to change that reputation. He is currently 7th in Tour in Strokes Gained Putting and is one of only five players to not miss a putt inside 3 feet this year, making all 416 putts from that range.
Another new addition to his bag is the much hyped TaylorMade SLDR driver.
Sergio has used the driver since switching to it from his previous TaylorMade RBZ Stage 2 driver, and seems to have adjusted to it's sliding-weight adjustability well. This week he is 20th in driving distance at 296 yards and 5th in driving accuracy, hitting more than 83% of the fairways.
