What? The 2024 Wells Fargo Championship, his 26th PGA Tour victory.

Where? Quail Hollow Club, Charlotte, North Carolina.

How? McIlroy stormed to a second consecutive victory after coming from behind to claim a dominant five-stroke win at Quail Hollow. McIlroy trailed Xander Schauffele by two strokes on the 7th hole of the final round, but a run of eight under par in the next eight holes opened up an incredible seven stroke lead and secured a victory in the week before the PGA Championship, despite the Northern Irishman finding the water on the final hole.
