Who? 36 year-old Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts

What? The 2019 Open de France, his first European Tour victory since 2012.

Where? Le Golf National, Paris, France

How? Victory looked assured for Colsaerts early on when he went five strokes ahead in wet conditions, but three bogeys around the turn put him out of the lead. A birdie and an eagle were offset by a double bogey on 15, but three pars to close the round was enough for a slim victory over JB Hansen and George Coetzee.

Following the victory, Colsaerts said:

It's very, very special. The French Open for me is very special because I'm French speaking. I've been coming here for I don't know how many years, it's been a long road. So many people have supported me over the years. That's why I get so emotional. I went through ups and downs for so many years now,
