Who? 29 year-old American Justin Thomas.

What? The 2022 PGA Championship, his second major victory.

Where? Southern Hills CC, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

How? Thomas produced a dramatic comeback to overturn a seven shot deficit and play his way into a playoff thanks to a final round of 67, before defeating Will Zalatoris to claim his second PGA Championship. Overnight leader Mito Pereira made it to the 18th tee with a one-shot lead but found the water with his tee shot and could only manage a double bogey. Thomas then made two birdies in the three-hole aggregate playoff to win for the first time since March 2021.
