The Puma Suede is one often the most recognisable casual shoes on the market and has been a popular choice for many over the last 50 years. Last year, Puma decided to build on this success by introducing a golf-specific model to provide a comfortable and versatile option.
This year the classic shoe has received another upgrade, with two new models set to be released which blend iconic styling with modern performance technologies.
Puma OG Shoe
Designed to mimick the style of the original Puma Suedes, the OG shoe is a unisex option which is available in both men's and women's sizes at £90.
It uses premium Atlantis leather on the upper for a classic look, whilst there is a hidden traction outsole which helps the shoe to look like a casual trainer off the course, but still provide the stability you need on it. Puma say that this outsole can offer 'recessed spikeless traction' which gives you great grip regardless of the lie and surface you may be faced when you tee it up.
The OG's sleek shaping has a toe-down look, as is the norm in fashion-forward footwear these days, and the ultra-soft is geared around providing the golfer with added comfort throughout the course of a round and in the bar afterwards.
Puma Suede G Patch Shoe
Puma has not been afraid to experiment with new ideas in the past when it comes to golfing apparel, and the Suede G Patch shoe appears to continue that theme.
Whilst they are perhaps not as 'out-there' as the hi-tops used by Rickie Fowler in previous seasons, they are another example of Puma's willingness to allow golfers to choose their own style and bring some flair to the course.
The shoe consists of a suede leather upper with a tonal hoop-and-loop stripe, which you can customise with the six woven label patches that come with it, and can be swapped or moved around whenever you like.
The Suede G Patch is built on the same hidden traction outsole as the OG to ensure that you are fully supported on the course whilst still looking great on it.
There's a dual density insole which gives you two layers of cushioning for 'customised comfort, fit and long-lasting durability'.
The Suede G Patch is available for £100 and comes in Bridal Rose, Black and Quarry colorways.
