Titleist has updated the two-piece Velocity ball for 2020 with a number of eye-catching matte colour options, along with new technologies, to provide even more from their distance ball.
Michael Mahoney, Vice President of Golf Ball Marketing at Titleist, said:
Velocity golfers love distance, and they never stop asking us for more yards. But we know they're also trying to shoot lower scores, and distance is only one part of that equation. The advancements our engineers have made to Velocity's aerodynamics package and high-speed core technology are meaningful.
Golfers can take aim from further away - confident that if they put a good swing on it, they'll have the extra distance to reach the green with the ball flight to stop it there.
Replacing the 2018 Velocity, the new model features a 350 octahedral dimple design which is said to produce a more consistent, high-flying trajectory to generate longer distance.
The larger, faster LSX core generates 'fast initial velocity', and promotes lower spin rates on full swing shots, to again help golfers looking to hit the ball a little further. Despite this, Titleist say that there's still plenty of spin on the shorter shots, for better stopping power coming into the green.
A Fast NaZ+ Cover is designed for a combination of speed and 'playable greenside feel'.
For 2020, the Velocity ball boasts three new colour options in an optic matte finish to great visibility without glare. You can now choose from Pink, Green and Orange alongside the standard White.
The new Titleist Velocity will be in stores from 7th February.
