Titleist has added to its Wedgeworks custom service in the UK with the introduction of a new T-Grind for the highly-regarded Vokey SM8 Wedge. The wedge has already proven a hit on Tour as it has found its way into the bags of Titleist stars and major champions Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas.
This comes following the addition of a new wedge 'cell' being built at Titleist's European headquarters in Cambridgeshire, in order to meet the growing demand for customised bounce or grind options from the SM8.
Titleist's Wedgeworks service allows amateur golfers to take a step into the lives of the Tour players as they are able to choose from a range of grinds, bounces, finishes and lofts - along with other personalisation options - to best suit their game.
Complimenting the SM8 Wedge which arrived earlier this year, the T-Grind offers a versatile low bounce option in both 58 and 60 degree options. It is ideal for golfers with a shallow angle of attack who tend to play in firmer conditions and has already been a grind of choice for many European players who tend to play links-style courses more often.
Will Harvey, Vokey Wedge Technician - European Tour, commented:
"I've had players say they feel like they can hit any shot with the T-Grind - the combination of the forward bounce for low pitch shots and the grind for the soft control shots is something needed with the vast amount of shots required on links or firmer course set ups."
