Over the past few years we've become big fans of Shot Scope's GPS and shot tracking technology, and their products seem to be getting better and better each year with the added bonus of pretty reasonable price tags.
Whilst their laser rangefinders are admittedly still a little way behind the likes of Bushnell, their GPS watches and shot-tracking technology are right among the best in the market.
For 2024, the brand have expanded their range with the new V5 GPS and Shot Tracking watch, building on the popular V series and now featuring automatic performance tracking.
The V5 features a clean aesthetic with sporty matte-black bezel and comes with a host of game-enhancing features to allow golfers to make the most of every round.
"It's the complete golf watch, with every aspect of the game seamlessly recorded and analysed. Our customers who have become familiar with the previous model will see some fantastic game-enhancing upgrades, like the inclusion of dogleg data, a Digital Scorecard, Green view and pin placement information, as well as a slicker round-faced design easily worn off the course."
"The V5 yields advanced technology, yet a simple aesthetic - with a vivid, full-colour readable screen and multiple colour display options. We know that a touch screen isn't for everyone, so the V5 offers an alternative for golfers looking for more tactile watch functions to seamlessly cycle through the new features using the easy-to-use buttons."
David Hunter, Shot Scope CEO.
The V5 allows golfers to access updates within the app, particularly through the MyStrategy function, for data-driven insights into how they can strategically play different courses. There are over 100 game statistics, including Strokes Gained and Handicap Benchmarking, allowing golfers to explore their data in-depth for free via the app.
Hole maps provide an overview of the full hole to help golfers negotiate tee shots, by indicating hazards or hole layouts for blind tee shots.
The watch comes preloaded with more than 36,000 golf courses worldwide, as well as a long battery life that spans two rounds of golf, and easily switches between metres and yards to cover golf trips all around the world.
Available now, the Shot Scope V5 priced at an RRP of £239.99 in black, with the ability to personalise display features depending on personal style.
