As with the rest of the new G30 range from Ping the Ping G30 Irons benefit from new face technology and materials all aimed at increasing ball speed and performance.

A thinner face and a freshly designed version of Ping's recognisable Custom Tuning Port (CTP) all point to the now familiar high level of quality and results you have come to expect from a Ping Iron.

Ping G30 Irons

The G30 iron has been constructed around the concept that higher ball speeds coupled with a higher trajectory will allow golfers to maximise their approach play with confidence in the stopping power to attack pins.

Increased ball speed has been addressed by a newly constructed, thinner face, made from a uniform 17-4 stainless steel that has undergone a unique heat treatment aimed at maximising all important face deflection. This deflection increases the speed off the club face to maximise length whilst achieving a consistency for precise distance control with a solid feel.

Ping G30 Irons

The feel from the clubface is enhanced by the soft elastomer G30 badge in the cavity of the club and the custom tuning port (CTP) that sits low supporting the thin face help to optimise the launch angle for the higher trajectories that the designers have been aiming for. The CTP helps to position the Centre of Gravity low and back to give further assistance to launch whilst providing the forgiveness that is a hallmark of all ping irons.

Ping G30 Irons

As you have come to expect from the G range of irons from Ping the G30 is a cavity back, perimeter weighted club that maximises Moment of Inertia to ensure that these clubs are playable by players of all abilities. The MOI is further increased by longer blade lengths in the G30 irons that is most noticeable in the 4 to 7 irons whilst progressive offset throughout the set helps generate a higher ball flight in the longer irons whilst maintaining a more aggressive trajectory in the scoring clubs in the bag.

Ping G30 Irons

Attention has also been paid to leading and trailing edges of the Ping G30 irons as part of a sole design that has been optimized to promote a solid contact. Turf interaction has been improved with a bounce profile that ensures consistent contact from all angles of approach on the downswing making the G30's very playable from all lies.
