Legendary putting guru, Harold Swash has teamed up with Lynx Golf to launch a new range of putters. Lynx appreciated his help so much they even named the putters after him.

The 'Swash by Lynx' range features four models engineered with technology and looks based directly on Swash's expertise and input.

Lynx Swash Putters

Swash himself has been a part of the game for more than 40 years years, as a coach and designer of putters and putting aids. He has coached some of Europe's finest players including Padraig Harrington, David Howell, Henrik Stenson, Darren Clarke, Ian Woosnam and Nick Faldo.

Swash was also the man behind the C-Groove face technology that made Yes! putters so successful.

Lynx Golf's CEO, Steve Elford, spoke of his new designer:

Harold has more than 50 years' experience in the golf industry as a coach and golf club designer and he has worked with some of the biggest names in the history of the sport - from multiple major winners to Ryder Cup legends. His expertise in the field of putter design and development is second-to-none and we are delighted to be working with him.

So what innovations has Swash, a former production engineer, engineered into the Lynx Swash putters?

Lynx Swash Face Grooves

Each model features a Pyramid Groove Design (or PGD) on the centre of the face. The unique trapezoid-shape is milled into the gold-coloured aluminium face insert. A central section of horizontal grooves is met by two sets of side-grooves running at 60 degree angles, designed to produce a smoother, more consistent roll, as Swash explains:

Off-centre strikes produce side-spin and shot curvature as the putter rotates slightly at impact. Our new groove design is corrective and counters those damaging effects, bringing the ball back online and generating consistency and better grouping.

Furthermore the new Swash putters benefit from two separate alignment aids.

First is a high-contrast, 3mm gold stripe running the length of the head, set against the matt black finish of the putter. Swash believes the line instantly lets golfers know if the clubhead is square to the target.

Lynx Swash Putters At Address

The second aid in alignment comes in the form of the unique, Pyramid Alignment System (or PAS). The triangular or tetrahedron-shaped alignment aid on the rear of the putter is designed to help golfers ensure their eyes are directly over the ball.

Lynx say "visually, the golfer should line up their ball with the clean, straight edge running back from the top corner of the pyramid to its rear corner."

Each of the four Swash by Lynx putters comes fitted with a 1.25" midsize grip, designed to promote a stable stroke, and a classic, black Lynx headcover.
