Honma has extended its premium performance range of clubs, Tour Release, with the addition of TR21 irons, fairway woods and hybrids to go alongside the existing TR20 driver and irons.

Honma TR21 Range

Available from October, the range is aimed towards better players seeking the same premium styling and finish as the equipment used by the best players in the world, and features the TR21 X forged Players Distance irons, TR21 BIG-LB (FTi) and FW fairway woods, along with TR21 H hybrids.

"The extension of the TR family of clubs represents our drive to offer golfers the very best equipment developed with the unrivalled quality associated with Honma. We expect the TR21 X irons and high adjustable metal woods will prove extremely popular with golfers at our growing number of fitting events across Europe."

Alejandro Sanchez, General Manager of Honma Golf Europe

Honma TR21 Fairway Woods

The TR21 fairways offer adjustability and custom fitting options thanks to Honma's excellent non-rotating hosel, which allows the loft and lie to be altered without affecting the position of the shaft, along with adjustable sole weights to make sure that it is best set up for each golfers.

The TR21 BIG-LB (FTi) fairway wood (£349, 14°) - not the catchiest name we've heard - has a multi-material construction which features a heavy steel sole to provide a CG (centre of gravity) which is low and deep in the head.

There's a 'thin fast' titanium face and sole slot in order to increase ball speeds and produce high launch with plenty of distance.

The TR21 FW fairway (£309, 15°, 16.5°, 18° and 21°) also features adjustable sole weights to control the launch and spin, which optimises distance and accuracy again. This all comes in a slightly sleeker profile, which Honma says will better suit the preferences of more accomplished golfers.

Honma TR21 H Hybrid

Honma TR21 Range

The TR21 H Hybrid (£269, 18°, 21° & 24°) features a classic, compact shape and has a strategically placed CG location to improve launch and spin, allowing golfers greater stopping power coming into the greens.

There's also a narrow sole which is said to improve turf interaction at impact for more consistent striking.

Honma TR21 X Irons

The hollow-bodied TR21 X irons (£175/steel, £210/graphite) are engineered for 'more distance, forgiveness and control' and feature a thin, forged L-Cup steel face.

Tungsten weight is positioned low in the head, with foam injected via a screw to create a larger profile that is friendly at address and generates fast ball speeds.

The TR21 X irons have a similar muscle back shape to the TR20 B irons, but with a more forgiving profile, and are designed to be used as a full set or mixed with the TR20 irons.
