When it comes to golf shoes there's no bigger brand than FootJoy, and their Pro|SL line has been regarded as the standard bearer for spikeless golf shoe performance ever since it was first introduced.
The next evolution of the shoe comes in the form of the Pro/SLX and Pro/SLX Carbon, which uses advanced materials, technologies and construction to provide golfers with new levels of traction, comfort and control.
Advanced Traction
The Pro/SLX uses a brand new traction system called the PWR Trax System. It features a molded 3D X-Wing that works with swing forces to redistribute energy to the perimeter of the shoe, and is inspired by the wide base seen in race cars to provide more perimeter stability and traction.
The 'Race Trak Outsole' with radial disc traction extends in to the ground to increase overall traction, whilst multiple points of contact target specific on-course conditions and around-the-course walking needs.
Advanced Comfort
FootJoy are continuing to use their StratoFoam midsole to provide added comfort, and it is specifically tuned to absorb and return energy with each step.
Around the ankle is a 3D molded collar which looks the foot in place for supreme comfort, and a reliable fit.
Advanced Control
The 3D X-Wing is said to offer more stability as you use the ground during the golf swing. There's an FTF+ foam surrounding the StratoFoam midsole which is designed to add to this stability.
An exposed heel stabiliser and side wall TPU wrap are designed to control lateral and upper movement.
