If you played a word association game with a golfer and said the words "golf shoe" it's very likely the response you'll get is "FootJoy".
That's not surprising given the company has a 52% share in value year to date of the UK shoe market with 5 of the 6 best selling models being FootJoy shoes*.
The HyperFlex (pictured above) and the D.N.A. account for 11% of UK shoe sales alone so far this year, therefore it's no surprise to see these shoes, together with the successful DryJoys Tour and DryJoys Casual, continuing in the FootJoy range for 2016.
As you'd expect the shoes haven't stood still with FJ's R&D team delivering enhancements, improvements and new upper designs and colours, that they say will further increase comfort, performance and stability, across a range that offers a style of shoe to meet all players preferences. All of the new shoes will be available from January 2016.
FootJoy D.N.A. 2016 Golf Shoe
As we told you earlier this month the 2016 FootJoy D.N.A is moving into the MyJoys program for the first time offering golfers 21,168 possible personalisation options including the choice of 12 Saddle leathers, 49 Accent leathers and 9 different lace options.
The 2016 shoe also includes a new upper that compliments the low profile design of the shoe and FootJoy have introduced the Tornado by Softspikes TourLock cleat system that helps keep the golfer lower to the ground for added stability.
Outside of the MyJoys programme, where the shoe was available from October 1st 2015, the D.N.A is available in White/Black, Black, White/Platinum, White/Red and White/Blue (Boa) and has an RRP of £160 / £180 (Boa).
FootJoy DryJoys Casual 2016 Golf Shoe
First introduced in 2014 FootJoy's DryJoys Casual represents the forefront of their spikeless shoe technology for players looking for a shoe that offers serious on course performance as well as comfort off the course.
Trusted by golfers all around the world, including Louis Oosthuizen and Lee Westwood, the 2016 incarnation features new styling, an extended range of colours and a Boa Closure System option has been included with the DryJoys Casual for the first time.
The new colour combinations for 2016 are White/Navy, Black/White, White/Red and White/Black (Boa) and the shoe has an RRP of £135 / £150 (Boa).
FootJoy DryJoys Tour 2016 Golf Shoe
Another persistent favourite is the DryJoys Tour, which is a blend of traditional style with cutting-edge stability Pods technology to give the ideal balance of flexibility
For 2016 the DryJoys Tour has even more comfort thanks to a softer ChromSkin leather that has been developed by long term FootJoy leather supplier Pittards and which has previously only been used in the D.N.A shoe. It's 2015 Open Champion Zach Johnson's preferred shoe so you know it will offer major performance.
Available in Black/Black Croc, White/White Croc, White/Brown Gator and White/Navy Gator colour options the DryJoys Tour 2016 have an RRP of £145.
FootJoy HyperFlex 2016 Golf Shoe
Last year's big FootJoy shoe story was the HyperFlex. With a FlexGrid 2.0 exoskeleton upper inspired by the design of a Massachusetts bridge it was a stylish shoe that we thought was a great blend of comfort and performance.
FootJoy say it is their most athletic and visually striking shoe, so it is no surprise that the 2016 Hyperflex sees the inclusion of new 'in trend' athetic inspired colours with combinations including Navy/Electrical Blue, White/Lime, Black/Red, White/Metallic and Silver/Yellow. The popular Black/Silver/Yellow and White/Light Grey/Royal Blue colourways continue for next year and the shoe has an RRP of £140 / £160 (Boa).
