Ecco has built a strong reputation over the years for creating comfortable and stylish hybrid golf shoes, which are versatile thanks to their suitability in varying weather conditions, as well as on and off the course.
Their latest release for both men and women, the S-Lite, seeks to broaden their appeal further by introducing their lightest ever leather hybrid shoe. Ecco says the shoe blends cutting-edge engineering and comfort together for the ultimate on-course experience.
In order to do this, Ecco essentially started the design process from scratch as they wanted to create a shoe like no other on the market. They looked to traditional running trainers to gain inspiration for the basis of the shoe, before adding the lightweight leather for a unique new concept.
Like most Ecco shoes, Yak Leather has been used for the upper, which provides natural water repellant and breathable properties. There is a new E-DTS Lite outsole design which provides both grip and flexibility by adding over 100 'traction studs' and 800 traction angles, so that you can be confident of a solid footing every time you stand over the ball.
The S-Lite shoes feature a base which is 66% thinner than any of their other TPU outsoles, thanks to a new multi-injection process, and as a result Ecco says that these become the perfect option for a quick evening round or to pack in your bag whilst on your travels.
The shoe's unique shape is created thanks to their Fluidform technology, which is a process that creates a special last which balances both cushioning and rebound for a comfortable, durable and flexible one-piece shoe without the use of glue or stitching.
They aren't just all about technology under the hood though. There's diamond-shaped embossing on the upper section of the shoe which looks stylish and keeps the shoe lighweight and breathable, and there's a contrasting moulded leather heel which also doubles up to provide extra support during the swing.
The S-Lites are available for both men and women in a range of sizes, starting at 3.5 all the way up to 12.5. There are also six different eye-catching colour options too, including white, red and marigold. The men's shoe is priced at £160.00 RRP whilst the women's model is £150.00 RRP.
