The Highlight: As if winning the FedEx Cup and the $15 million bonus wasn't enough, DJ then went on to pick up a long overdue second major at the November Masters with a commanding performance that proved he has still got what it takes in the big events. Wins: 2 (including one major)

The Highlight: Bryson may have surpassed even Tiger Woods as the most talked-about golfer of 2020, and it's been an incredible year for the American as he proved plenty of doubters wrong in showing that bulking up and gaining distance really did help his game. The clear highlight for DeChambeau was his incredible victory at the US Open where he was the only golfer under par for the week, using his power to record a six stroke victory.

Wins: 2

The Highlight: Hatton broke into the World's Top 10 for the first time this year after a stellar summer which saw him win on the PGA Tour for the first time at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, before capping off his year with a win at one of Europe's flagship events, the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. The Englishman is set to be a shoe-in for the Ryder Cup - could he challenge for a major in 2021?

Wins: 2

The Highlight: Rahm will end 2020 a lot richer after winning twice on the PGA Tour as well as finishing second in the FedEx Cup, and the World Number Two has become arguably the most consistent golfer in the men's game. Surely a major is just around the corner for the Spaniard?

Lee Westwood

Best Golfers Of 2020

Wins: 1

The Highlight: At the age of 47, Westwood proved that he is more than good enough to compete with the very best in the game by winning the European Tour's Race to Dubai thanks to a runner-up finish at the DP World Tour Championship. Consistency has been a hallmark of Westwood's game for nearly 30 years, and three Order of Merit wins proves that.

The Highlight: The American was one of very few golfers who seemingly benefitted from a lockdown as she came back to the LPGA Tour with successive victories at the Drive On Championship and Marathon Classic, capping off an incredibly consistent year of results. Kang reached a career high of second in the Rolex Rankings this year and so going one better will surely be the aim for 2021.

Emily Kristine Pedersen

Best Golfers Of 2020

World Ranking: 71

Events: 14

Wins: 4

The Highlight: 4 wins in just 14 events this year makes Pedersen a leading candidate for the golfer of the year in our eyes, and her achievements have been reflected in the fact that she's climbed over 400 places in the World Rankings. The Dane completed a historic three consecutive victories on the LET and will have her sights firmly set on defending her Race to Costa Del Sol title next year.

Sei Young Kim

Best Golfers Of 2020

World Ranking: 2

Events: 12

Wins: 2

The Highlight: Kim won her first major at this year's PGA Championship thanks to a final round of 63, taking her overall tally of professional wins to 15. This was followed by victory a month later at the Pelican Women's Championship, vaulting her to second in the World Rankings and establishing her as one of the game's elite players.
