The Titleist 714 MB Irons replace the 712 MB irons and as this is predominantly a tour model then Titleist have refined the previous range with some small changes to the appearance of the club.

The leading edge is a little straighter and the hosel offset has been blended a little more to maintain the angle but look sleeker at address.

Titleist 714 MB Irons At Address

The biggest change is the increased camber on the sole of the club to help it go through the turf more easily and this is certainly does. The short irons in particular were very good, but you could feel the benefits right through the set.

Titleist 714 MB Sole

As you would expect these blade muscle back irons have compact heads and are more for shot makers who like to shape the ball. Hit them out of the middle and they do feel as good as any other forged blade in the market.

Titleist 714 MB Irons

The styling is classic and clean giving a no-nonsense impression and is similar to its sister model, the Titleist CB 714 iron. The specifications for loft and lie are also the same so this makes it very easy to blend the two sets together if you want a little more forgiveness in the longer irons.

Titleist 714 MB Iron Specification

One of the few manufacturers to still make quality blades, but unless you are a scratch player I would stick to the 714 CB or 714 AP2 irons.
