The Ping i20 Driver combines workability, forgiveness and distance in order to make golfers more complete and versatile.
The matt black finish on the 460cc Ping i20 Driver is eye-catching and reduces glare. Ping have re-engineered the crown making it highly aerodynamic, reducing drag and maximising clubhead speed and ball velocity.
The i20 Driver features dense tungsten sole weights in the rear of the sole designed to increase the club's MOI and position the centre of gravity for low-spinning, penetrating drives. The remainder of the head is constructed from Ti 8-1-1. This lighter, lower-density titanium allowed Ping to allocate weight in order to add forgiveness to the i20 Driver.
The Ping i20 Driver comes with the option of two shafts. The PING TFC (Tip, Flex, Control) 707D shaft is designed specifically for a low-spin, boring trajectory. The lighter True Temper Project X Black shaft offers mid spin and a higher trajectory.

The Ping i20 Driver has a neutral set up and a very no-nonsense design. This is not a flamboyant club although the sleek dark looks and nice head shape mean it looks very classy.
The previous i15 driver had a compact feel about it, but with the i20 driver, Ping have increased the forgiveness to move the handicap range for this club up to mid single figures who may have played a G driver in the past. The two tungsten weights in the sole have dropped the CG giving a penetrating flight and a lovely sound. The Ping TFC shaft also seems a little better than usual and gives a lower flight than the other main option which is the True Temper Project X.
With all the drivers these days being so-adjustable, it is refreshing to hit a driver that sits square, doesn't change and does the job well. We feel that the Ping i20 will be one of the best low handicap drivers in the market and if you have an i15 you should definitely upgrade.
