Wilson Duo Soft+ Golf Ball
Replacing the DX2 Soft Ball, the DUO Soft+ features Velociticor technology to help make it the world's softest and longest 35 compression, two-piece golf ball on the market.
The technology is designed precisely to get the most out of a player's swing speed in order to maximise distance and maintain feel with every single shot.
Frank Simonutti, Global Director of Golf Ball Innovation at Wilson Golf, explained more:
We wanted to keep the same consistency and reliability that the DX-brand was renowned for in Europe, but add the new technology we have developed in the Wilson Innovation Centre in Chicago.
Our research found when using a driver, the initial velocity of the new DUO Soft+ ball increased by two miles per hour. We then repeated the test using a 7-iron and the results were equally impressive, beating some of the more expensive premium balls on the market in distance.
The DUO line of golf balls has been extremely popular with golfers across the USA for many years and now we can present the same brand message to golfers around the world.
The balls are available in both men's and women's colourways (red and aqua logo) from the end of January, with an RRP of £19.99 per dozen.
Wilson Duo Optix Golf Ball
The new DUO Optix range features bolder and brighter colourways this time around, whilst also featuring some new technology which is said to provide a little more distance too.
The DUO Optix has a smaller core, designed with a semi-translucent and colourful matte cover which is designed to stop glare off the cover at address. This should make it much easier to be tracked in flight, or even in long grass if you happen to miss the fairway.
A soft, highly resilient polybutadiene core, the DUO Optix is designed to provide players with plenty of feel which also promoting straighter shots from tee to green.
