After an excellent season with a host of near-misses, Fowler finally won for the first time in four and a half years on the PGA Tour after making birdie on the first playoff hole to beat Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin. After starting the final round with a one-shot lead and made a stunning birdie on the 72nd hole to shoot 68 and reach the playoff, before completing a victory which takes him one-step closer to a spot at this year's Ryder Cup.
