The Rife Tropical Abaco was inspired by one of Rife's first anser-style putters, the no hosel 400 mid mallet.

Designed with the the Tour player in mind, the Tropical Abaco is a small mallet complete with Rife's RollGroove Face Technology and Lie-Aline custom fitting system. The RollGroove face design spaces precisely milled grooves on the face of the putter that grip the ball and lift it into an instant forward roll, creating a no-skid roll. The Lie-Aline system centers around a notch located on the back edge of the top line. Players can use the notch to align the putter at address and tell whether the putter is set up to suit their putting stroke.

With the Tropical finish, the Abaco benefits from all the latest Rife technologies. The Tropical finish is created using a system of vacuum Ti plating. As well as the aesthetic-pleasing look, the finish resists wear and prevents oxidization over time.
