Ping has decided to take full control of their apparel collection.

For the first time the 2015 range has been designed and manufactured under Ping's direction and they are marking this with a collection engineered exclusively for golfers and what they need to play their best golf.

They are also marking it with an iconic Ping image. The "Eye Mark" made famous by Ping's legendary Eye 2 irons has inspired the clothing's new logo that is featured across the range with subtle branding that match the understated and clean colour choices.

Having innovated in clubs since 1959 it is no surprise that pushing boundaries forms part of this inaugural offering with the latest high specification fabrics combining with Ping's commitment to craftsmanship and quality.

This is evident with the use of Merino wool in both the sweaters but also, more interestingly, in the polo-shirts. Merino offers natural anti-bacterial and wicking properties and the Latimer polo makes the most of this with a 25% Merino and 75% Polyester blend that features a water resistant finish to a shirt guaranteed to keep you cool and dry.

The polo-shirts also include two shirts, the Bancroft and Gilden models, made from a premium soft-touch cotton feel polyester, whilst the warmer layers are led by a classically fitting 100% Merino sweater called the Dunbar.

These garments are complemented by the slim-leg chino trouser called the Dean. This combines the popular structure and feel of the traditional chino with an athletic four way stretch and crease resistant properties, available in six colours that work with the rest of the collection.

Ping has ensured that the 2015 clothing offers as much to female golfers as it does to men. The women's clothing range has a logo worked around the recently designed logo of the Rhapsody range of women's golf clubs and utilises soft-touch fabrics in feminine cuts.

Typical of this approach is the Alexandra polo that boasts refined branding with colour options that echo the premium fabric and fit. The Krista sweater is a cotton, polyester and merino blend that is fully lined for warmth.
