The popular range of e-Series golf balls have been improved for 2015 with a new dimple pattern that offers a longer, straighter and more penetrating flight.
As always with Bridgestone the e-Series offers multiple balls to allow players to be fitted to the ball that suits them best with all the balls in the range benefiting from the new dimple design.
The distinctive new Web dimple pattern features 226 unique dimples that maximise surface coverage and these combine with 110 Dual Dimples that contribute to consistent ball flight.
This new pattern means 10% more surface of the ball is covered by dimples than in the previous e-5, e-6 and e-7 balls, retaining ball speed for a significantly longer period after launch for more distance. The dimples also create the penetrating flight trajectory, evident when the ball is travelling at it's highest speed, then help to maintain lift as the speed falls towards the end of flight.
Steve Kettlewell, MD of Bridgestone Golf UK, explains the changes made to the popular balls:
The e-Series range has been extremely popular in recent years, especially at live ball fittings, but the new models promise golfers an even better performance level. Each new ball has a distinctive characteristic designed to appeal to different players and address their individual playing needs from tee to green.
Bridgestone E-Series Golf Balls.
The e-Series offers a number of construction and flight characteristics that mean there is a ball that will most closely match the requirements and games of all golfers. All three retail at £29.99 per dozen.
The e-5 ball is designed to give players a slightly higher trajectory. The two-piece ball has a faster spin rate from the club face that results in this higher flight.
Bridgestone say this three-piece ball is the softest Multi-layer ball on the market and its soft core offers lower spin for a straighter flight and is ideal for golfers looking to eradicate waywardness from the tee.
The e-7 has been designed to give the most penetrating flight of the e-Series balls, with the fastest ball speed from the face coming from the speed-enhanced three-piece construction.
