The Yonex Nanospeed 3i hybrid golf club uses many of the same technological breakthroughs that impressed us in the Nanospeed 3i drivers and fairway woods.

This include the use of the carbon graphite crown to help with weight distribution and the Nano carbo shaft tip to help transfer energy at impact. We were keen to see how well these changes transferred to a hybrid as we haven’t really seen that many composite hybrid clubs in the past.

We were immediately impressed by the appearance of the Nanospeed 3i hybrid which, like the fairway woods, looks good and has a really classy appearance at address.

Unusually for a hybrid there is no silver top line which we really thought enhanced the look and Yonex should be applauded for taking this step. The head is quite deep from front to back and this does inspire confidence and feeling of stability without being too big or awkward.

The Yonex Nanospeed 3i hybrid performed as well it looked with an excellent ball flight and good distance and accuracy. The club was also very forgiving on off centre hit which will be reassuring for the higher handicappers.

We feel the Nanospeed 3i hybrid represents excellent value for a quality hybrid club.
