In common with the rest of the Cleveland range the Cleveland CG12 wedge uses ZIP Groove technology meaning that the grooves now reach the maximum limit for size.
This is possible because new manufacturing techniques have enabled Cleveland to reach the full legal dimensions for grooves as opposed to 70% of the limit, which was all they could do in the past to stay within the rules.
The Zip grooves mean Cleveland wedges are capable of optimizing spin on every shot, even from poor lies and we were certainly impressed with the CG12 wedge even though it seemed to be fractionally heavier than other Cleveland wedges.
Although this difference was noticeable it did not detract too much from the feel of the club, which was very good.
The CG12 wedge is aimed at mid to low handicappers and is available in 17 different specifications with a chrome or black pearl finish so you should find one that suits your needs.
